Do you prefer silicone, latex or lycra swim caps?

Silicone swim caps are the most popular choice for swimmers as they offer optimal support, are easy to put on, waterproof, long lasting and do not pull the hair. The latex swim cap is cheaper than the silicone swim cap but has a shorter life span as it is more fragile. It is also the least comfortable bathing cap because it catches the hair. The lycra mesh bathing cap with its comfortable and light mesh is very easy to put on and take off and does not pull the hair.

You are looking for a tried and tested swim cap

In the quest for comfort, hardened swimmers will naturally turn to a silicone swimming cap. They will either opt for a classic silicone swim cap or a silicone shell swim cap. This swimming cap is moulded, so it provides optimum support and improves your hydrodynamics. The shell swimming cap is also usually used for competitions as it is FINA approved.
